Benjamin was the twelfth son to Jacob, born by his wife Rachael . He was described buy his father Jacob as having spirit of a wolf.

This describes sametimes been excessively  greedy in his spirit. the same spirit is also identified in his brothers judah and levi

Genesis 49:27  Beniamin shall rauine as a wolfe: In the morning hee shall deuoure the pray, and at night he shall diuide the spoile.
